|May-Be (try something new) ||Event date: May 10th, 2014|
|Hosted by Barony of Iron Bog - Moorestown, NJ||Event Last Modified: May 4th, 2014|
|In their travels around these known lands, their Excellencies Collin and Marion, Baron and Baroness of Iron Bog have seen the wide range of activities enjoyed by the populace. From crashing shields to ringing swords to flying lethality moving almost faster than the eye can track. From artisans creating beauty from fire or with their hands or marked forever on parchment or a composition heard only in the air until the last sound passes to nothingness. |
Being so inspired they have decreed that a day be set aside when all may gather to share passions and all my try something new. A day where MAY-BE I would like to try that becomes I DID try that and now I want more!
It is hoped that all those attending will take the opportunity to sample all the new experiences the day has to offer. Planned is the full range of martial activities with plenty of loaner gear as well as A&S activities including glass bead making, felting, sand casting/jewelry making and the bardic arts of singing simple rounds and weird and wonderful instruments.
Children are the future of out society and will be welcome to participate in many of the activities with parental supervision and approval of those sharing their skills. There will also be a family gathering/play area and a nursery room for napping children and/or quiet time. The site offers a wonderful playground for use with parental supervision. For questions regarding youth participation please contact the event youth coordinator and Chancellor of Youth, Lady Aibhilin inghean Ui Phaidin at email@example.com
In addition Don Duncan will be holding a tourney to decide the next Iron Bog Fencing Champion. The champion must live in Iron Bog or a landed group that touches it's borders. These are Bhakail, Carillion, Barren Sands, Caer Adamant and Buckland Cross. If you do not reside in on of these groups you can still enter the tourney and make sure the new champ deserves the honor.
For allergies, food restrictions, or general questions about the dayboard, please contact Lady Genevra d'Angouleme at (856) 848-7810 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
