"MAKING A SUNDIAL:  THEORY AND PRACTICE" - Lady Deroch Negotiatorix vini If it's at least partly sunny out, this will be a hands-on class.  We will start with the most primitive sundial (anything that casts a shadow) and build on this basic premise to accommodate varying lengths of day, GPS location and the variation in solar noon as described by the equation of time.

"Weed Walk/Foraging Safely" - Eikaterine Ever wondered what weeds in your garden you'd be better off leaving...  cause they are really good in a salad? Or what plants on your woodland hike might make a tasty snack? Well, come along for a walk with me and discover a few plants around Roses which might just fit that description.  And may make a tasty addition to tonight's camp meal!  Handouts will be provided with detailed descriptions of both edibles...  and which plants definitely to avoid.  In case of bad weather, class will be held under canvas with pots of relevant specimens collected for your hands-on inspection.

"Whitesmith metal casting" - Lord Brynjolf Josson The introduction to metal working.  This interactive demonstration can be applied to archery and jewelry making.  Topics ; greensand, lost foam, making metal molds.  Some hard to find materials will be available for purchase though not required.  Bentonite powdered clay, 200 grit extra fine sand, zinc, aluminum.  Requirements:  This is not a class for children to participate in.  They are welcome to watch.  Students should bring eye protection, leather gloves, maybe a small item to reproduce.
