Event details
The Barony of Carolingia cordially invites you to the Medieval Makers Faire.  It will be a celebration of doing things and the art of learning.  The event will be held at the German American Club in Walpole, MA (site of the recent Crown Tournament).  Classes and demonstrations will be oriented towards things that students can do.  The subjects can range from handicrafts, to performance, to blacksmithing, or something else the autocrats haven't considered yet!  The space available will be round tables scattered around the large Ballroom and outdoors as well.  Class scheduling will be handled by Lord Kyttle the Lazy, email mbarolak@gmail.com if you would like to teach a class

A class schedule and event details can be found on the event website:
http://medievalmakersfaire.wordpress.com/

While we are not doing a separate children's track, families are encouraged to attend, and we encourage all teachers to list the youngest age that could participate meaningfully in your class or activity.  Please feel free to contact Leonete if you need help deciding on that age.

The evening feast will be limited to 80, and, in the spirit of the event, will be planned and cooked as a collaborative class, under the management of Baroness Anastasia Guta.  We encourage anyone, at any level of experience, who would like to be involved in the process of researching, planning, and/or cooking this midwinter feast to visit us at http://afairefeastinmidwinter.blogspot.com to learn more about how to be part of this collaborative process.  Feast is $12 and reservations are strongly recommended.

A Dayboard of seasonal foods, both hot and cold will be served throughout the day, prepared by Lady Zsuzsy.  As with the feast, the Dayboard will also be made available as an interactive "class", class size is limited to 6 persons, handouts will be given, attendees are requested to wear kitchen appropriate garb/clothing, and must have close toe shoes on.  Class will center on logistics, food saftey concerns, and budgeting.  The dayboard will be available to attendee for a fee of $3, reservations are greatly appreciated.

The Site fees for this event are low because the members of the German Club are kind to those who appreciate a good drink.  The bar will be staffed throughout the event, and they welcome your patronage.

This event is extremely welcoming to newcomers, if you are new or would like to bring someone who is, this is the event for you.  Loaner garb will be made available for the day, and the Chatelaine, the person who has all the information a new person will need, will be present to help you find your way if this is one of your first events.

Come join us for a day of learning and a celebration of doing things.
