|Walpurgisnacht at Stonebridge Gambol House ||Event date: May 2nd, 2014 - May 4th, 2014|
|Hosted by Barony of the Bridge - Coventry, RI||Event Last Modified: February 23rd, 2014|
|Traditionally the feast of Saint Walpurgis is celebrated with large bonfires and drunken debauchery. At Stonebridge Gambol House, we celebrate Walpurgisnacht with an excess of food, drink, dancing, and games.|
This event will feature no classes, no feast, and no ball. Instead there will be lots of music, lots of dancing, and more than enough food served as a continuously-replenished dayboard, prepared by a collection of the finest kitcheners from throughout the East Kingdom.
For dancers we offer the opportunity to dance, without interruption, from Friday evening until Sunday morning. If you have a new dance you want to share, come prepared to teach it. If you have a dance you would like to perform, come ready to perform it.
For musicians we offer the opportunity to play dance music, as much as you can stand, as well as plenty of room to gather with other musicians and play for pure enjoyment.
For everyone we offer a place to sleep, space for gaming, as well as a variety of dishes both sweet and savory starting Friday night and culminating in a farewell breakfast on Sunday morning.
Gate will open on Friday evening at 6 PM for Weekend guests.
On Saturday, gate will open at 10 AM and close at 6 PM.
Stonebridge Gambol House can accommodate a finite number of guests, so the number of weekend spaces will be limited. To ensure the hall is not too crowded for dancing, the number of day trip spaces will be limited as well. Be sure to send in your reservation early, or check back as the date approaches to find out if any spaces are left.
