The Annual Melee event that features a Speed tourney to establish Captains, who then pick "shirts and skins" and battle for 100 Minutes of non-stop unlimited resurrection.
Literally thousands of dead are counted in that 100 Minutes, if you don't get enough fighting at the 100 Minutes you weren't trying hard enough.

The tournament for today's event will also be a 100 Minute Challenge for the fencers of the East.
Combatants will be split into two sides for the challenge for a 100 Minute Bear Pit. There will be four different weapon form list's set up, I suggest that any combatant bring all weapons that you are qualified in or want to become qualified in. "Counting the Dead" will determine which side of the days challenge will be the victor. Simply put, any single combat loss will be counted for your side for the day. Sides will be determined the day of the challenge.
Authorizations will be conducted from 11 AM till 12 PM (any marshal's that would like to assist with authorizations will be appreciated)
100 Minutes Challenge: 12 PM till 1:40 PM
Melee Fighting: 2 PM till fighters want to stop; followed by free fighting

From the shore: Take NJ Route 33 west from Freehold (U.S. Route 9) six miles to County Route 527A (Iron Ore Rd.). Turn right (north) and proceed 1/2 mile to LaValley Drive. Turn right again and follow LaValley Drive 1/2 mile to the gate.
From the NJ Turnpike: Exit #8 from the turnpike to Route 33 east. Proceed east 6 miles to Route 527A. Take the jughandle and proceed north as described above.
This is a dry site. (Scouts will be on site Saturday)
