Event details
May this missive find the Kingdom of the East prosperous and peaceful.  Here in our island barony it is time once again to invite one and all to our Arts and Sciences Schola.  With the reinvention of our Duck University, we hope to offer an amazing day of classes in many different fields.  The event will include demonstrations and lessons in fabric arts, history, scribal arts, as well as a working/teaching kitchen that will provide our day board.

There will also be a competition to determine the next arts and sciences champion for the barony.  The details and requirements for the competition can be found at http://www.scaducks.org/AS/ASRules.htm .  Although only a member of the barony can claim the title of Champion of An Dubhaigeainn, any are welcome to demonstrate their skill in meeting this challenge.

As well, there will be a competition to determine our barony's Bardic Champion.  The requirements for entering the competition can be found at http://www.scaducks.org/AS/ASBardic.htm and the competitors must be from the barony.  They do, however, need an audience and anyone is welcome to attend them.

Classes will include:  How to be the Feastocrat, Basic Garb Demo, Learn to Spin, Weaving 101, Kitchen Knife Techniques with Ham, The Scribe, Beginning Brewing, The Mary Rose, The Pilgrim, The Crusades, Introduction to the Historical Uses of Poisons, Basket-Weaving.
