Black Rose Ball XXXVI
| Event date: March 9th, 2013 | Hosted by Barony of the Bridge - Cranston, RI
| Event Last Modified: January 22nd, 2013 | | | | Event details | | Winter has ended and the time for celebration is here. After long dreary months of ice and snow Spring has returned bringing new life and renewed vigor. It is time once again for the Black Rose Ball.
This year the ball promises to be something special:
Lord Maurin is planning an entertaining list of dances that everyone is sure to enjoy. The ball will include something for everyone, from the experienced dancer to those who have never danced before.
The Waytes of Carolingia will bring their skill with wind and string to delight the dancers. In addition, this year's ball will feature special guest musicians, Musica Sin Nomine from the far off land of Concordia of the Snows, who will shake the hall with their mighty shawms.
Dom Coelho do Buraco has agreed to grace our kitchen with his considerable culinary skill. He and his dedicated staff of kitcheners will provide a wonderful repast to fortify us before the evening's exertions.
As always, the ball will feature the court of his Excellency, Baron Eloi Abelard who will be joined this year by their Majesties, King Edward Grey and Queen Thyra Eiriksdottir. Court will precede the ball, so don't be late!
Music and dance, food and drink, good friends and hearty laughter, all this awaits you in the Barony of the Bridge. Join us for this most venerable of balls, the longest continuously held dance event in the known world, now in its thirty-sixth year, the Black Rose Ball.
