Barony of Ruantallan War Camp and Tir Mara Crown Principality Rapier Championship
| Event date: June 29th, 2012 - July 2nd, 2012 | Hosted by Barony of Ruantallan - Westville, NS
| Event Last Modified: April 9th, 2012 | | | | Event details | | Once again we can hear the War Drums beating far to our South. It is time to prepare for yet another attempt to invade our shores, steal our cattle and make off with our riches. To that end, we will gather together to practice the arts of warfare and challenge ourselves and each other to hone our skills. Archers will take to the field to compete for the title of Baronial Champion. This year, we will also have a Children’s Archery Tournament, where every child can shoot, no matter their skill level, and all will be winners. Armoured combat will be conducted under the watchful eye of Sir Gareth Grey, and the fencers will vie for the privilege of holding the title of Tir Mara Crown Principality Champion! Classes will be taught by skilled artisans, songs and stories will be told ‘round the fire, and a wonderful time will be had by all who attend.
Please make note: This is a discretely damp site with limited ability to handle domestic garbage (be prepared to take bags home with you). We will be instituting quiet hours similar to those of the great Pennsic War (1:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.) due to the large numbers of children/families attending and the proximity of the fire pit. There are flush toilets and cold running water, and potable water for drinking and cooking. Pets are allowed on leash – but remember to pick up after them, please. This is a public campground, and as such, there may be non-SCA campers near us.
Site Opens: Noon June 29, 2012 Site Closes: 2:00 p.m. July 2, 2012
