|Hosted by Barony of Bergental - West Springfield, MA||Event Last Modified: November 16th, 2011|
|Be Merry, Good Friends! Bergental and the Barony Beyond the Mountain unite once more to celebrate Yule and all ye are invited guests. On Saturday, 3 December 2011 we will gather again at the charming Tudor-style First Congregational Church to share the warm delights of the season. Traditional festivities include merchants, performances, games and family activities, an A&S display, our popular spear tourney for the hardy, a benefit auction, a Mysterious Stranger and a few surprises.|
BBM's Lady Johanna and Lord Cristoforo will provide a tasty dayboard. Bergental's Mistress Eleanore of the Bucket o'Food and renowned kitcheners will prepare the fabulous feast. All the traditions of Yule will culminate in the lively procession of the Boar's Head throughout the hall and singing of the Carol by the melodious Concentus and merry assemblage. Enclosed candles and discreet alcohol are permitted during the feast and only add to the festive ambience!
UPDATE: Remember to bring your A&S works (complete or in process) for the display, and donations for the auction (SCA usable items, to benefit either Barony). We've also added fencing. Tentative Schedule of Activities as follows:
