|The annual Fall Feast of Simplefare will be held Saturday, October 22 , 2011 at the South United Methodist Church,1226 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040. The site opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m.|
During the day, there will be Rattan tourney as well as BARONIAL CHAMPION TOURNEY, BARONIAL FENCING CHAMPION TOURNEY AND YOUTH CHAMPION TOURNEYS outside on the lawn.
As usual, there will be board gaming and merchants inside the hall.
There will be an A&S display table set up for the day at Simple Fare. Finished projects or works in progress. Put your name on it and as much documentation as you would care to. If you are comfortable doing so, leave a blank sheet of paper or a small notebook for others to write comments. Our Baroness would like to see what folks are working on!
This year's feast will feature both old Simplefare favorites and new dishes in honor of Their Excellencies, Baron Dinsdale and Baroness Aelfgifa. The basic menu will be as follows, but please see www.bbm.eastkingdom.org for the final menu: 1st Course - Mustard Soup, Bread and Butters, Fungi Parmigiani; 2nd Course (Middle Eastern) - 9th Century Chicken Barida (roast chicken, coriander, salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, white grape juice, lime juice, parsley, cilantro, tarragon, thyme, cucumber), Jazr (carrots, oil, vinegar, caraway, garlic), Isfanakh Mutajjan (spinach, salt, oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon), Couscous with Dried Fruit (couscous, vegetable broth, lemon juice, apricots, raisins, dates, figs), baklava; 3rd Course (Anglo-Saxon) - Beef or Veal Sausages (tbd), Barley, Knowlton Leeks (leeks, ham, bacon, cumin), Roedd Groedd mit Floedd (with lingonberries!).

All flames must be enclosed (per CT law) and the only animals allowed on site are guide animals.
Sadly, this is a DRY SITE.

Take your best route to I-84. From I-84 (East or West), take Route 384 East. Take exit 3 off Route 384. (Exit is for downtown Manchester- Main Street also known as CT Route 83). Bear right at end of exit ramp, and immediately move to the left lane (you will come to a traffic signal. South Church is on the corner across from you). Turn left at the traffic signal onto Hartford Road (You will pass in front of the church). The church parking lot is the first driveway on your left. The church is across the street.

Per Corpora regulations, any Adult non-member or one who cannot show membership is subject to the $5 Non-Membership Surcharge.

Family cap= 2 Related Adults and their Children $60 before NMS.

All reservations must be received by October 13, 2011. Please note that on the day of the event, ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE CLAIMED BY 4:00 pm, OR they will be sold to people on the waiting list.
The only reservation is a paid reservation! Please include an email address or a SASE if you would like confirmation. RESERVATIONS MUST INCLUDE Legal names, any membership numbers and ages for all children.
